Borage
Also known as star flower, borage is is said to be an "herb of courage". It has been used traditionally to lift weary hearts from sadness and despair, ease the effects of long-term stress, nervous exhaustion, and anxiety, and to soothe respiratory or gastrointestinal irritation, just to name a few.
Many of its herbal actions work through supporting the body's natural inclination to bounce back from stress (think supporting the adrenal glands), something that is increasingly difficult for us to do in our modern world.
Usage
No more than 1 ml at a time, up to 3x/day. Best to take only for 1-2 weeks, then break for at least 2 weeks.
Not for long term use.
Borage is known to contain small amounts of liver toxic compounds that may affect some people. Use at your own risk.
Shake well before use. Store at room temperature.
Ingredients
Made with 40% alcohol at a 1:2 ratio.
Grain alcohol and distilled water infused with fresh Borago officinalis (borage) flowers and young leaves*.
* = grown in a chemical free garden
